La conducta que puedan mostrar los empleados hacia el huésped, está asociada a la cultura organizacional del Hotel y esta se vincula con la motivación que puedan dar los jefes a sus trabajadores. El an álisis de casos fue sobre la percepción de la cultura organizacional en la motivación de los jefes hacia los trabajadores del Hotel Howard Johnson de Guayaquil, durante los meses de enero a febrero del 2016. El objetivo de la investigación consistió en describir cómo perciben la cultura organizacional en la motivación de los jefes hacia los trabajadores para sensibilizar la cultura organizacional a todos los trabajadores del Hotel. El análisis de caso mantuvo un enfoque cualitativo y un diseño de investigación narrativo; para el análisis de caso se trabajó con guías de entrevista, que fueron validadas por dos expertos; el análisis de los datos reflejó que, la cultura organizacional en los jefes fue percibida por ellos como una dificultad para la resolución de conflictos. Como proceso final se sugirió a la gerencia del Hotel la creación de un plan de desarrollo de objetivos y competencias para sus jefes, así como también sensibilizar la cultura organizacional a sus trabajadores con un método dinámico. ProblemaDue to the competencies faced by organizations on a daily basis, for some Hotels meeting the guest's expectations represents a key factor, offering a quality service depends on how Hotel associates work to achieve these expectations. The behavior that the employees can show towards the guest, is associated to the organizational culture of the Hotel and this is linked to the motivation that the bosses can give to their workers. The an Case analysis was about the perception of the organizational culture in the motivation of the bosses towards the workers of the Howard Johnson Hotel in Guayaquil, during the months of January to February 2016. The objective of the research was to describe how they perceive the organizational culture in the motivation of the bosses towards the workers to sensitize the organizational culture to all the workers of the Hotel. The case analysis maintained a qualitative approach and a narrative research design; for the case analysis we worked with interview guides, which were validated by two experts; the analysis of the data showed that, the organizational culture in the bosses was perceived by them as a difficulty for the resolution of conflicts.
