Through classroom observations, the deficiency in the oral expression of the students and the lack of use of playful resources by the teacher were identified, whose causes were also determined and confirmed through a survey of students and an interview with the teacher. In other words, the students did not demonstrate the communication skills according to the level of English A1, due to the little practice of this skill in-class hours, and in turn, the lack of application of ludic resources for students’ learning motivation. For this reason, the design of a didactic guide for the teacher with different alternatives for the use of flashcards to develop oral expression in students was carried out under bibliographical research to help students to enrich their communicative skills.El presente trabajo de investigación se realizó en 28 estudiantes de Octavo grado de la Unidad Educativa Isla Santay. A través de observaciones en el aula se identificó la deficiencia en la expresión oral de los estudiantes y la falta de uso de recursos lúdicos por parte del docente, cuyas causas también fueron determinadas y confirmadas a través de una encuesta a los estudiantes y una entrevista a la docente. Es decir, los estudiantes no demostraron las habilidades comunicativas acordes al nivel de inglés A1, debido a la poca práctica de esta habilidad en el horario de clases, y a su vez, la falta de aplicación de recursos lúdicos para la motivación de aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Por tal motivo se realizó el diseño de una guía didáctica para el docente con diferentes alternativas de uso de flashcards para desarrollar la expresión oral en los estudiantes bajo una investigación bibliográfica que ayude a los estudiantes a enriquecer sus habilidades comunicativas.Universidad de Guayaquil.
