This study aims to provide a solution for the problem in speaking skill development in the form of a didactic guide that explores the use of the Interview Technique as a way to help students become more autonomous and improve fluency in their speaking production and reach the desired level B1.1. For the purpose of this research work, several background studies that show the validity of the intended proposal, as well as current literature that supports its development, have been reviewed. The methodological design is mixed, with qualitative and quantitative aspects to gather the information in relation to the current treatment of the variables of study. The instruments and data collection techniques applied in the study allowed the researchers to gain more insights on the way this problem affects students and how to approach a possible solution. After the analysis of the information obtained, the design of an innovative proposal based on the use of the interview technique for speaking skill development is suggested. This technique will allow students to practice more naturally, increasing fluency and working cooperatively while strengthening the knowledge previously acquired in class.El presente estudio tiene como objetivo mejorar la situación de desarrollo del habla encontrada en los estudiantes de Segundo Año de Bachillerato, Sala A de Contabilidad de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Guayaquil, quienes tienen dificultades para expresar sus ideas y opiniones de forma natural sin practicar previamente. Este estudio tiene como objetivo brindar una solución al problema en el desarrollo de habilidades para hablar en forma de una guía didáctica que explora el uso de la Técnica de Entrevista como una forma de ayudar a los estudiantes a ser más autónomos y mejorar la fluidez en su producción oral y alcanzar el nivel deseado B1.1. Para efectos de este trabajo de investigación, se han revisado varios antecedentes que muestran la validez de la propuesta planteada, así como literatura actual que sustenta su desarrollo. El diseño metodológico es mixto, con aspectos cualitativos y cuantitativos para recoger la información con relación al tratamiento actual de las variables de estudio. Los instrumentos y técnicas de recolección de datos aplicados permitieron a los investigadores obtener más información sobre la forma en que este problema afecta a los estudiantes y cómo abordar una posible solución. Luego del análisis de la información obtenida, se sugiere el diseño de una propuesta innovadora basada en el uso de la técnica de la entrevista para el desarrollo de la habilidad de hablar. Esta técnica permitirá a los alumnos practicar con más naturalidad, aumentando la fluidez y trabajando de forma cooperativa a la vez que afianza los conocimientos adquiridos previamente en clase.Universidad de Guayaquil.
