Mediante una encuesta previa y parámetros de criterios de exclusión, aplicados en una población de 73 mujeres, se seleccionó a 50 mujeres de entre 18 a 30 años, que eran usuarias del Laboratorio “Alpha” del cantón La Libertad y se realizó un análisis inmunológico de niveles hormonales (T3, T4 y TSH) mediante el Test de ELISA. Con los datos obtenidos se llevó a cabo un análisis estadístico con el software IBM SPSS STATISTICS, encontrándose que las mujeres de 19 a 24 años, es decir, el 46% eran las que más usaban anticonceptivos hormonales; el 46% de ellas usaba como anticonceptivo la forma farmacéutica inyectable; el 44% llevaba menos de un año y 1 mes utilizándolo. El análisis de perfil tiroideo para T3 estableció que no se presenta ningún caso alterado, pero sí un 16% cerca del valor referencial máximo establecido por el laboratorio. Mientras que para el análisis de T4, el 20% de ellas presentaron alteraciones por encima de los valores referenciales y para el análisis de TSH no se encontró alteración. Comprobando que sí hay alteraciones con más frecuencia en la hormona T4, lo cual se ve afectado por el anticonceptivo oral.The present work takes as reference an article published in the journal Internal Medicine of Mexico in 2015, where it reported on the alterations in thyroid function tests in users of hormonal contraceptives, which is related to its active principle based on estrogen By means of a previous survey and parameters of exclusion criteria, applied in a population of 73 women, 50 women aged between 18 and 30 years were selected, who were users of the "Alpha" Laboratory of the canton La Libertad and an immunological analysis was carried out. Hormone levels (T3, T4 and TSH) by the ELISA Test.
