La pérdida prematura del primer molar permanente traería consigo varias consecuencias graves para el niño que repercutirán en su vida adulta. Objetivo: Determinar los factores de riesgo asociados a la pérdida prematura del primer molar permanente. Metodología: este estudio es de tipo cualitativo, exploratorio, bibliográfico. Donde se seleccionaron alrededor de 40 referencias bibliográficas con los criterios de selección en base a la relevancia, idioma y años de publicación, se realizó mediante una matriz de consistencia. Conclusiones: Los factores de riesgo analizados tienen una relación estadísticamente significativa con la perdida de los primeros molares permanentes, siendo la dieta cariogénica el factor más prevalente, seguido de la higiene bucal inadecuada. El factor socioeconómico no refiere estadísticas de relación mayor en la pérdida del primer molar permanente.Introduction: The first permanent molar is part of the definitive dentition, it erupts at 6 years of age, it is the dental piece with a high level of importance because it is considered the eruption guide for the remaining pieces, also called the key of the occlusion. The premature loss of the first permanent molar would bring with it several serious consequences for the child that will have repercussions in their adult life. Objective: To determine the risk factors associated with the premature loss of the first permanent molar. Methodology: This study is of a qualitative, exploratory, bibliographic type. Where around 40 bibliographic references were selected with the selection criteria based on relevance, language, and years of publication, it was carried out using a consistency matrix. Conclusions: The risk factors analyzed have a statistically significant relationship with the loss of the first permanent molars, being the cariogenic diet the most prevalent factor, followed by inadequate oral hygiene. The socioeconomic factor does not refer to statistics of a higher relationship in the loss of the first permanent molar.Universidad de Guayaquil.
