Se caracteriza por la fácil manipulación, alta resistencia a la compresión, es biocompatible y presenta una buena bioactividad. A su vez, este material actúa a nivel coronario como a nivel radicular, lo cual ayudará en la terapia pulpar y en lesiones radiculares. Objetivo: Determinar el beneficio que ofrece el Biodentine en la terapia pulpar en los dientes permanentes. Metodología: Se realizó una investigación de tipo documental – exploratorio con un enfoque cualitativo, considerando la información de repositorios universitarios y artículos científicos en inglés, español y portugués. La consulta se la realizó en los distintos metabuscadores como SciELO, Redalyc, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, entre otros. Conclusión: la presente investigación dió como resultado que el Biodentine cumple con las características necesarias para ser un material bioactivo, el cual estimula las células de la dentina (odontoblastos) para ayudar a la formación de un puente dentinario, así mismo demostró ser efectivo en las distintas terapias pulpares tanto clínica como radiográficamente.Introduction: Biodentine is a dental cement with excellent properties which makes them a bioactive material that induces a biological response on tissue stimulating odontoblastic cells to produce new dentin. It is characterized by easy handling, high compressive strength, is biocompatible and has good bioactivity. Also this material acts at the coronary and root level, which will help in pulp therapy and root injuries. Objective: Determine the benefit offered by Biodentine in pulp therapy in permanent teeth. Methodology: A documentary, exploratory research was carried out with a qualitative approach, considering the information of university repositories and scientific articles in English, Spanish and Portuguese. The query was made in the different metasearch engines such as SciELO, Redalyc, PubMed, ScienceDirect, Medigraphic, and others. Conclusions: The present investigation resulted in Biodentine meeting the necessary characteristics to be a bioactive material which stimulates dentin cells (odontoblasts) to help the formation of a dentin bridge, it also proved to be effective both in different pulp therapies clinical and radiographically.Universidad de Guayaquil.
