The aim is to enhance motivation and English proficiency in seventh-year students at the institution. Throughout the project, a review of methodologies and empirical tools was employed, which were useful for gathering information about the problem's situation and the best strategies to address it. The method we used was the mixed method, which has a descriptive and explanatory scope, with the population for this investigation being seventh-grade students from the Vicente de Piedrahita Carbo Fiscal Educational Unit. These methods provided essential data to evaluate issues such as the lack of didactic guidance, the improvement of cognitive abilities, and students' motivation to speak English. The results of the collected data and current theory support the effectiveness of using playful techniques as an alternative to promote oral skill development. Therefore, an innovative strategy focused on the use of playful activities to address the identified challenges in oral skill development is proposed. This proposal considers the desired competence levels in oral skill development and provides guidance for successfully incorporating playful teaching techniques in the classroom, aiming to increase motivation and achieve better oral skill development, helping students overcome oral difficulties and improve their performance in this aspect. El objetivo principal de la investigación fue examinar el problema del bajo desarrollo de la habilidad oral en estudiantes de séptimo grado de Educación General Básica en la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Vicente de Piedrahita Carbo, así como destacar la importancia del uso de actividades lúdicas para respaldar dicho desarrollo. En el cual se busca potenciar la motivación y el dominio del inglés en los estudiantes de séptimo año de la institución. A lo largo del proyecto, se empleó la revisión de las metodologías y herramientas empíricas aquellas que fueron útiles para recopilar información sobre la situación del problema y las mejores estrategias para llevarlo a cabo. Estos métodos que utilizamos fue el método mixto el cual tiene un alcance descriptivo y explicativo donde la población de esta investigación fueron los estudiantes de séptimo año de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Vicente de Piedrahita Carbo. Estos métodos proporcionaron datos esenciales para así poder evaluar problemas como la falta de orientación didáctica, la mejora de las capacidades cognitivas y la motivación de los estudiantes para hablar inglés. Los resultados de los datos recopilados y la teoría actual respaldan la eficacia del uso de técnicas lúdicas como una alternativa para fomentar el desarrollo de la habilidad oral. Por lo tanto, se propone una estrategia innovadora centrada en el empleo de actividades lúdicas para tratar los desafíos identificados en el desarrollo de la habilidad oral. Esta propuesta contempla los niveles de competencia deseados en el desarrollo de las habilidades orales y brinda orientación para incorporar con éxito técnicas didácticas lúdicas en el aula, con el objetivo de aumentar la motivación y obtener un mejor desarrollo de la habilidad oral, facilitando a los estudiantes superar las dificultades orales y mejorar su rendimiento en este aspecto.Universidad de Guayaquil.
