El objetivo fue conocer las percepciones sobre las falsas noticias y pseudo tratamientos surgidas en la pandemia por COVID-19 en un grupo de mujeres. Se empleó un enfoque cualitativo con metodología fenomenológica. Las participantes fueron cuatro mujeres adultas medias, bachilleres, citadinas y de un estatus social medio. Las técnicas utilizadas fueron la ficha sociodemográfica, la encuesta de estratificación socioeconómica, entrevista a profundidad y el grupo focal. Los resultados indican que las noticias falsas se perciben como verdaderas por criterios de validación subjetivos inadecuados, mientras los pseudo tratamientos se reconocen como recursos accesibles y económicos que brindaron una sensación de protección. La pandemia trajo consigo un cuestionamiento existencial pues significó un cambio abrupto en el estilo de vida y un enfrentamiento directo con la idea de muerteThe present investigation sought to understand why people accepted false news and pseudo treatments uncritically during the pandemic. The objective was to discover the perceptions about the false news and pseudo treatments that emerged in the pandemic by COVID-19 in a group of women. A qualitative approach with phenomenological methodology was employed. The participants were four middle-aged adult women, college graduates, cities, and people of an average social status. The techniques used were the sociodemographic file, the socio-economic stratification survey, the depth interview, and the focus group. The results indicate that the false news is perceived as true due to inadequate subjective validation criteria, while the pseudo treatments are recognized as accessible and economic resources that provide a sense of protection.
