Las universidades han propuesto el retorno seguro a la presencialidad postpandemia, y el retorno progresivo, dejando a estudiantes sin sus primeras vivencias en la institución. Este estudio de corte cualitativo con alcance descriptivo tuvo el objetivo de analizar las respuestas emocionales ante la inserción modalidad virtual. Se contó con la participación de 20 estudiantes de primer semestre del CI 2022-2023 de la Facultad de Ciencias Psicológicas, Universidad de Guayaquil. Las técnicas utilizadas fueron: grupo focal y entrevista, como instrumento la Escala PANAS, aplicados en Zoom y Google Forms, y el procesamiento de los datos en ATLAS.ti 22. Los resultados muestran un porcentaje alto de estudiantes que experimentaron frustración, ansiedad y estrés por la modalidad virtual, estas respuestas emocionales indicaron ser un factor de riesgo en la salud mental de los estudiantesThe health measures implemented due to COVID-19 have impacted the emotions and all aspects of the human being. Universities have proposed a safe and progressive return to post-pandemic attendance, leaving students without their first experiences at the institution. This qualitative study with a descriptive scope had the objective of analyzing the emotional responsesto the virtual modality insertion, with the participation of 20 students from the first semester of the CI 2022-2023 of the Faculty of Psychological Sciences, University of Guayaquil. The techniques used were focus group and interview, as an instrument the PANAS Scale, applied in Zoom and Google Forms, and data processing in ATLAS.ti 22. The results show a high percentage of students who experienced frustration, anxiety and stress caused by the virtual modality.
