El presente proyecto de investigación cuantitativa, de tipo correlacional descriptivo tiene como objetivo general, identificar los factores psicosociales asociados a la procrastinación académica en los estudiantes universitarios. La muestra estuvo conformada por 110 estudiantes (25 hombres y 85 mujeres) de la facultad de ciencias psicológicas de la Universidad de Guayaquil con una edad media de 23 años. Los instrumentos utilizados para medir la correlación entre las variables de interés fueron una encuesta sociodemográfica, la escala de Procrastinación Académica (EPA) y el LSB-50 listado de síntomas que evalúa síntomas psicológicos y psicopatológicos breves. Los resultados muestran que existe una asociación significativa en el mayor uso de tiempo en streaming y síntomas psicopatológicos como la hostilidad, depresión y alteraciones del sueño amplia.Academic procrastination is a term that has become popular in recent years, this behavior being an act of irresponsibility where the action of the subject is to postpone their activities or tasks. The present quantitative research project, of a descriptive correlational type, has the general objective of identifying the psychosocial factors associated with academic procrastination in university students. The sample consisted of 110 students (25 men and 85 women) from the Faculty of Psychological Sciences of the University of Guayaquil with a mean age of 23 years. The instruments used to measure the connection between the variables of interest were a sociodemographic survey, the Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA) and the LSB-50 list of symptoms that assess brief psychological and psychopathological symptoms.
