ADEC es una herramienta de cribado de nivel 2 que evalúa el riesgo de autismo; es originario de Australia y tiene una adaptación en México. El objetivo del presente proyecto es adaptar transculturalmente la herramienta de detección temprana del riesgo del trastorno del espectro del autismo ADEC en población guayaquileña, mediante un proceso de diferentes etapas que asegure su equivalencia de contenido, semántica, técnica, de criterio y conceptual con la versión original de Australia. La metodología aplicada fue cuantitativa – cualitativa evidenciada en las cinco fases. Se realizó dos grupos focales a madres y profesionales, posteriormente una encuesta a 99 personas para la obtención del formato final de la propuesta de ADEC Guayaquileña y otra a 6 personas de nacionalidad estadounidense para determinar la equivalencia; una entrevista abierta a una profesional en idiomas y finalmente la aplicación de la herramienta a 14 niños en edades de 0 a 36 meses. De los resultados se obtuvo que la traducción Guayaquileña en comparación con la traducción Mexicana hay diferencias en la terminología, semántica y estructura; se cumplieron los criterios según el listado para el control de calidad la traducción-adaptación; en la traducción guayaquileña en ingles se constató la equivalencia de contenido, semántica, técnica, criterio y conceptual; con respecto a la aplicación, todas las madres expresaron no haber presentado dificultad en entender algún ítem de la herramientaAutism spectrum disorder is a neurodevelopmental problem that affects important areas in child development, so its early detection is crucial. ADEC is a level 2 screening tool that assesses the risk of autism; It is originally from Australia and has an adaptation in Mexico. The objective of this project is to adapt cross- culturally the tool for early detection of the risk of autism spectrum disorder ADEC in the Guayaquil population, through a process of different stages that ensures its equivalence of content, semantics, technique, criteria and conceptual with the version original from Australia. The applied methodology was quantitative - qualitative evidenced in the five phases.
