El objetivo de este proyecto investigativo fue identificar su financiamiento operativo mediante un estudio de campo para proponer mejoras. La metodología aplicada fue de enfoque cualitativa, el alcance descriptivo, explicativa y de diseño investigativa mixta. Para la recolección de los datos se usó el instrumento de encuestas aplicadas a los 392 comerciantes. En los resultados de la investigación se determinó que los ingresos de los comerciantes no cubren los gastos del negocio, además no cuentan con registro consecutivo del flujo de efectivo diario por lo que a menudo recurren al financiamiento informal. Por esta razón, se pudo terminar que se debe aplicar plan o estrategias de capacitaciones que permita ir incluyendo de a poco una cultura financiera en los comerciantes del Mercado y por lo consiguiente como propuesta del proyecto de esta investigación se ha elaborado un plan de financiamiento operativo alternativo para el crecimiento económico de los comerciantes del Mercado Municipal Las Manuelas ya que su cuya situación financiera no es ideal y tiene como fin ayudar a mejorar el financiamiento operativo del negocio.This research project was developed in the Municipal Market of Duran, located on Yaguachi and Cuenca streets. The objective of this research project was to identify its operational financing through a field study in order to propose improvements. The methodology applied was qualitative in approach, descriptive in scope, explanatory and of mixed research design. For data collection, a survey instrument was used, which was applied to 392 merchants. In the results of the research it was determined that the income of the merchants does not cover the business expenses, in addition they do not have a consecutive record of the daily cash flow so they often resort to informal financing.
