They used empirical resources such as the observation sheet. The participants of this research were subject to evaluation that consisted in helping to improve speech skills. The researchers used empirical resources such as observation sheet, survey and the interview to an English teacher in order to discover the relationship and it provides a solution. The results of the speech performance test were analyzed statistically; in addition, this indicate that the students have problems to speak in a fluent way and to pronounce correctly. This study recommends the importance of linguistic stress, intonation and rhythm in the development of pronunciation. Using the strategy of how to teach stress, intonation and rhythmic grammar in English speaking contextsEl estudio tuvo como objetivo investigar el efecto de las estructuras de enseñanza en términos de habilidades orales para mejorar el uso funcional del habla, en la unidad educativa La Consolata en 10º grado. Los participantes de esta investigación estuvieron sujetos a una evaluación que consistió en ayudar a mejorar las habilidades del habla. Los investigadores utilizaron recursos empíricos tales como la hoja de observación, la encuesta y la entrevista a una maestra de inglés, para descubrir la relación y también proporcionaron una solución. Los resultados de la prueba de rendimiento del habla se analizaron estadísticamente, además, estos indican que los estudiantes tienen problemas para hablar de manera fluida y pronunciar correctamente. Este estudio recomendó la importancia del estrés lingüístico, la entonación y el ritmo en el desarrollo de la pronunciación.
