La finalidad de la presente investigación fue la comprensión más profunda de la experiencia para poder mejorarla; la metodología utilizada en el presente estudio fue la sistematización de experiencias en la cual los participantes fueron adultas mayores que tenían dificultades de movilidad en las extremidades inferiores y en condición de aislamiento prolongado, las técnicas e instrumentos que se usaron fueron el registro de los signos vitales, entrevistas semiestructuradas y el equipo de realidad virtual. En la reflexión crítica se realizó un proceso de análisis y síntesis sobre los factores limitantes y favorecedores en la aplicación de la realidad virtual, entre ellos destaca la organización de las actividades, la obtención de recursos, la implicación de los adultos mayores durante la experiencia multisensorial y la colaboración institucional de los representantes del centro gerontológico, concluyendo en éste trabajo que el uso de realidad virtual es una solución diferente para el tratamiento del estrés, que no puede ser generalizado entre los adultos mayores a pesar de permite un control de las emociones de los sujetosThe elderly due to stressful situations and events presents anxiety that affect their health, in this situation a resource used is virtual reality, the same one that serves to decrease the psychophysiological manifestations associated with stress, before this is the question axis: What were the factors that limited or favored the application of Virtual Reality in psychophysiological alterations associated with stress in elderly in the Hogar del Corazón de Jesús? The purpose of this research was the deepest understanding of the experience in order to improve it; the methodology used in this study was the systematization of experiences in which participants were elderly who had mobility difficulties in the lower extremities and in prolonged isolation condition, the techniques and instruments used were the recording of vital signs, semi-structured interviews and virtual reality equipment.
