In these students, insufficiency in vocabulary acquisition was reflected due to the lack of motivation, unknown mnemonics, and didactic strategies for increasing new words, which is necessary to develop linguistic skills in the English language. The current educational project was carried out through methods, techniques, and applying qualitative and quantitative research instruments such as class observation, student survey, and teacher interview, which evidenced the level of development in the students' English vocabulary production. In addition, the variables of the problem were analyzed and developed theoretically through historical background, the context of the research, theoretical and legal foundations to improve the process of vocabulary acquisition of these students.El objetivo del proyecto educativo es identificar la influencia del sistema nemónico Pegword en la adquisición de vocabulario de los estudiantes de octavo año de la Unidad Educativa Vicente Anda Aguirre en el período lectivo 2021-2022. En dichos estudiantes, se reflejó una insuficiencia en la adquisición de vocabulario debido a falta de motivación, desconocimiento de nemotécnicas y estrategias didácticas para el incremento de nuevas palabras, el cual es necesario para desarrollar las habilidades lingüísticas en el idioma inglés. El presente proyecto educativo se llevó a cabo a través de métodos, técnicas y la aplicación de instrumentos de investigación cualitativos y cuantitativos como lo son: la observación de la clase, encuesta a los alumnos y entrevista a la maestra, lo cual evidenció el nivel de desarrollo en la producción de vocabulario en inglés de los estudiantes. Además, se analizó y se desarrolló las variables del problema teóricamente por medio de antecedentes históricos, el de la investigación, fundamentos teóricos y legales con el propósito de mejorar el proceso de adquisición de vocabulario de dichos estudiantes.Universidad de Guayaquil.
