For this reason, this investigation consists in the importance of the research variables, background information of the problem and as a solution the creation of a didactic guide with activities focused on the debate as a technique that influences the improvement of the students speaking skills in Second year baccalaureate with an English level according to the CEFR of B1. The research, which is of mixed methodology, was carried out with students from the Dante Alighieri educational unit, conducting a survey to find out their opinions about the English language and the debate. The research instruments used were observation in class, survey and interview with the teacher. Further on, the didactic guide is detailed with guidelines for its correct use.Existen deficiencias en la expresión oral en los estudiantes que están aprendiendo el idioma inglés. Por tal motivo, esta investigación consiste en la importancia de las variables de investigación, los antecedentes del problema y como solución la creación de una guía didáctica con actividades enfocadas al debate como técnica que influye en el mejoramiento de la expresión oral de los estudiantes de Segundo año de bachillerato con un nivel de inglés según el MCER de B1. La investigación, que es de modalidad mixta, se realizó con estudiantes de la unidad educativa Dante Alighieri, realizándose una encuesta para conocer sus opiniones sobre el idioma inglés y el debate. Los instrumentos de investigación utilizados fueron la observación en clase, la encuesta y la entrevista al docente. Más adelante se detalla la guía didáctica con pautas y actividades para el docente y los estudiantes.Universidad de Guayaquil.
