For the aforementioned reasons, this project work has collected relevant literature, and carried out a classroom observation, an interview addressed to the teacher, and a survey aimed at students to get to know their real reading difficulties to identify how they can be overcome. The results obtained from the application of the investigation instruments pointed out that there are some components that can be used by teachers to promote the students’ reading skills such as: the importance of taking into account reading metacognitive strategies, the motivation cycle and the entire reading process. Eventually, the findings also indicated that the students respond better at reading when ludic exercises are introduced, which shows that there is in fact a great possibility of improvement of students’ reading comprehension skills through the application of this proposal, which is the design of a didactic guide of ludic reading activities due to the fact that studentsLa presente investigación basada en la influencia de la motivación en el desarrollo de las habilidades lectoras no solo está enfocada en analizar como la motivación influye en el desarrollo de las capacidades lectoras del estudiante sino también en ayudar a los maestros a buscar nuevos métodos motivaciones que inspiren al estudiante a leer. Por todas las razones mencionadas anteriormente y con el propósito de conocer aún más cuales son las posibles dificultades lectoras que presentan los estudiantes a la hora de leer, este proyecto ha proporcionado información relevante sobre las variables, llevo a cabo la aplicación de instrumentos de investigación tales como: la aplicación de una entrevista dirigida al maestro, una observación de la clase, y una entrevista dirigida a los estudiantes. Los resultados obtenidos de la aplicación de dichos instrumentos señalaron que existen ciertos componentes que pueden ser usados por el maestro para promover las habilidades lectoras del estudiante tales como: la importancia del uso de las estragáis lectoras meta cognitivas, el ciclo de la motivación y el proceso de la lectura.
