En torno a los resultados el determinante social, el grupo etario de 22 – 29 años con un 36%, nivel de instrucción secundaria con un 36%, ocupación como ama de casa con el 48 % , y el determinante cultural el desconocimiento de la técnica adecuada de amamantamiento con el 42 % , y la lactancia materna intermedia de 4 meses con 44 % . En conclusión el mayor porcentaje de las usuarias lleva a cabo una lactancia materna intermedia de cuatro meses.In this work, the sociocultural determinants that influence the practice of exclusive breastfeeding will be investigated, with the objective of establishing the social and cultural determinants that influence the premature abandonment of said practice by users who attend the outpatient consultation area. of the Guasmo Sur General Hospital, with a descriptive, quantitative, purposeful, cross-sectional methodology, with a population of 163 users. Regarding the results, the social determinant, the age group of 22 – 29 years with 36%, level of secondary education with 36%, occupation as a housewife with 48%, and the cultural determinant, lack of knowledge of the technique adequate breastfeeding with 42%, and intermediate breastfeeding of 4 months with 44%.
