Para la elaboración del marco teórico se tomó en cuenta varios autores de escritores y compositores ecuatorianos donde se pudo obtener información científica, educativa y filosófica. Con la metodología se pudo alcanzar resultados por medio de las encuestas realizadas que fueron de gran ayuda para la realización de esta investigación. Se utilizará el modelo exploratorio a través de la investigación de campo para recolectar datos que midan la cultura musical actual y sentar las bases para la propuesta. Las herramientas a utilizarse serán la entrevista a un exponente de la música nacional y la encuesta a estudiantes del sexto semestre que permitirá tener resultados muy acertados de la investigación. La propuesta de este trabajo de titulación se estableció la creación del Primer Festival de Música ecuatoriana en la Facultad de Comunicación Social.The present investigation was realized with the purpose of analyzing the problems related to the little diffusion of Ecuadorian music among the students of the Faculty of Social Communication, whose main purpose is to examine the teacher’s knowledge about our musical culture. For the elaboration of the theoretical framework it was taken into account several authors, Ecuadorian writers and composers who can obtain scientific, educational and philosophical information. In this investigation it was possible to reach the results through the surveys using the appropriate methodology, which were helpful for the accomplishment of this research. Through the field research it was used the exploratory model in order to collect data that measure the current musical culture and create a base for the proposal. The tools, which were used for this investigation are: interview to an exponent of the national music and the survey of the students of the sixth semester that will allow to have the successful results of the investigation. The proposal of this research is the creation of the First Festival of Ecuadorian Music in the Faculty of Social Communication.
