La Universidad de Guayaquil no es ajena a este fenómeno, por lo que, siendo un centro de formación y de instrucción formal superior en ciencia y tecnología, es un lugar idóneo para promover la equidad de género y sensibilizar a la comunidad sobre su importancia para la construcción de una sociedad más justa. El presente trabajo de sistematización de experiencias prácticas de investigación, esta contextualizado específicamente en los talleres de sensibilización en violencia de género, realizado con los estudiantes del curso de nivelación de la carrera de Psicología, que se enmarca en la participación que tuvieron los estudiantes egresados de la Facultad de Ciencias Psicológicas, en la ejecución del Proyecto Universitario de Cooperación Internacional con la Universidad de Almería, España: “Fortalecimiento participativo de la igualdad de género en la U.G. y su entorno, contribuyendo a la construcción de una sociedad basado en principios de justicia y equidad”, cuyo objetivo era la eliminación de todas las formas de discriminación contra las mujeres, para lo que se debía identificar posibles casos de violencia entre los estudiantes. La metodología empleada en el presente trabajo es cualitativaGender violence is a problem experienced by all Ecuadorian society, remaining naturalized in many ways. The University of Guayaquil is no stranger to this phenomenon, which is why, being a center for training and formal higher education in science and technology, it is an ideal place to promote gender equity and sensitize the community about its importance to build a fairer society. The present work of systematization of practical experiences of investigation, is contextualized specifically in the sensitization workshops on gender violence, carried out with the students of the leveling course of the Psychology career, which is part of the participation that the graduated students from the Faculty of Psychological Sciences had in the execution of the University Project of International Cooperation with the University of Almeria, Spain: "Participatory strengthening of gender equality in the UG and its environment, contributing to the construction of a society based on principles of justice and equity", whose objective was the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, for which it was necessary to identify possible cases of gender violence among students. The methodology used in the present work is qualitative. The analysis of the sensitization workshops resulted in the students not having knowledge about gender violence, but they had the attitudinal disposition to assimilate the exposed contents and they were sensitized, abandoning stereotypes when participating in the second workshopUniversidad de Guayaquil Facultad de Ciencias PsicológicasMSC.
