Para realizar un estudio científico, uno de los pasos más complejos es encontrar información de calidad, y para ello es indispensable buscar en bases de datos de primer nivel, ya que contienen metodologías estrictas y fundamentos de mayor calidad. Sin embargo, cierto porcentaje del sector universitario desconoce cómo puede realizar la búsqueda de estas publicaciones científicas. El presente trabajo se centra en fortalecer el uso de base de datos encontrados en el Sistema Integrado de la Universidad de Guayaquil (Scopus, Web of Science y Science Direct) para beneficio de la comunidad universitaria, por medio de una serie de videos tutoriales que faciliten la búsqueda de investigación para aumentar la producción de publicaciones científicas. The objective of this paper is to make a comparative analysis between open science and non-access publications in order to define what is the real learning for the academy. In the research process it was carried out a scientific study, one of the most complex steps is to find quality information, and for this it’s essential to search information in first level databases such as Scopus, Web of Science and Science Direct, because they contain strict methodologies. However, a certain percentage of the university sector doesn’t know how to search this scientific publications. The present work focused on strengthening the use of databases found in the Integrated Systems of the University of Guayaquil (SIUG) (Scopus, Web of Science and Science Direct) for the benefit of the university community.
