Existen diversas maneras quirúrgicas y no quirúrgicas para el cierre de esta lesión, sin embargo, se centró en las técnicas colgajo vestibular, colgajo palatino rotatorio y colgajo bola adiposa de Bichat que, según varios investigadores, son con las que mejores resultados han obtenido por la alta vascularización que brindan a los tejidos. El objetivo de presente trabajo sistemático fue describir los criterios que determinan el estado de una CBS y las diferentes intervenciones que se emplean en el cierre de esta patología, llegando a la conclusión que la elección de la técnica dependerá de la amplitud de la lesión, el tiempo desde la extracción de la pieza dentaria hasta la detección de la CBS, la presencia o no de infección sinusal, cantidad y calidad de los tejidos circundantes y sobretodo experiencia del profesional.The Oroantral Comunication (OAC) is a complication that emerge, in most cases, after an upper premolar or molar extraction. There are different surgical and no surgical ways for the closure of this lesion, however, focused on techniques like: Vestibular Flap, Rotary Palatine Flap and Bichat’s Adipose Ball Flap that, according to several researchers, are the ones with which the best results have been obtained due to the high vascularization they provide to the tissues. The object of this systematic work was describing the criteria that determine the status of an OAC and the different interventions that are used in the closure of this pathology, concluding that the choice of the technique will depend on the amplitude of the lesion, the time since tooth extraction until the detection of the OAC, the presence or absense of sinus infection, quantity and quality of the surrounding tissues and above all the experience of the professionalUniversidad de Guayaquil.
