First, we identified the problems that were found in the sector studied, and later, the development that has taken place over time. For this purpose, two primary data sources were used. On the one hand, MAGAP information is presented regarding the evolution of the economic indicators of the commune; This information was consolidated with the interviews with the main producers and thus determine a more realistic scope. At the end of the investigation, it was evaluated if there is similarity with the objectives proposed in the project and also its scope. Finally the conclusions and recommendations are presentedIn the process of development of this research, it is focused on being able to recognize the advantages and disadvantages that the study company in this case Ecuadorian SIKA has against the automation of industrial processes; through a complete understanding of the procedure that is taken to be able to automate, that is, to make technological changes in different areas, introducing machines that make effective, optimize production and reduce delivery times. It is recognized that automation is a starting point for the avant-garde companies, nowadays the use of machinery with cutting-edge technology is recommended in order to accelerate the processes that were previously handled manually, directly by the human capital of the company, which in the industrial sector caused accidents at work and the activities became quite dangerous and risky for the workers. Automation in a general way allows companies not only to have machinery that provides high quality products since production errors are reduced, but also to hire specialized personnel to handle them, which increases the level of quality of the final product, generating higher income and as in the case of Ecuadorian SIKA to have economies of scale in their products.Universidad de Guayaquil.
