METODOLOGIA: Es un estudio de tipo retrospectivo, descriptivo, de observación indirecta y de corte transversal. RESULTADOS: Se analizaron 204 pacientes, con edades entre los 20 y 46 años, a predominio entre los 27 a 33 años (32,8%); con predominancia entre los hombres (77,5% vs 22,5%) y con IMC cuyo valor se encontró en el rango de Normopeso (61,8%) en la mayor proporción. En cuanto a las variables serológicas, la carga viral se encontró entre 104 y 2’629.896 copias/ml, promedio 175.132 copias/ml, con predominio de cargas virales menores a 50mil copias/ml, sin evidencia de carga viral indetectable en alguno de los pacientes, por su parte el recuento de CD4+ se encontraba entre 41,5 y 280.131 células/ml, promedio 1.826 células/ml con valores principalmente entre 200 y 500 células/ml, los recuentos menores a 200 representaron el 15,2%. Entre otros hallazgos, el 97,5% desarrolló tuberculosis pulmonar y el 3,0% tenía algún grado de fármaco resistencia.HIV infection is one of the main infectious-contagious diseases that condition morbidity and mortality in the population. They are characterized by a state of immunosuppression that favors co-infections, among which tuberculosis is a very frequent co-infection; This coinfection situation has a bidirectional impact; thus, tuberculosis accelerates the progression from HIV infection to AIDS stage and HIV infection causes immunosuppression with the consequent evolution of tuberculosis infection to clinical study. OBJECTIVE: To determine the characteristics of tuberculosis infection in patients aged 18 to 45 years who living with HIV, at the IESS Ceibos Hospital in 2019. METHODOLOGY: It is a retrospective, descriptive, indirect observation and cross-sectional study. RESULTS: 204 patients were analyzed, with ages between 20 and 46 years, mainly ages between 27 and 33 years (32.8%); most of them were men (77.5% vs 22.5%), with BMI whose value was found in the normal range (61.8%) in the highest proportion. Regarding the serological variables, the viral load was found between 104 and 2,629,896 copies/ml, average of 175,132 copies/ml, with a predominance of viral loads less than 50 thousand copies/ml, there was no evidence of undetectable viral load in any of the patients, on the other hand, the CD4 + count was found between 41.5 and 280,131 cells/ml, average 1,826 cells/ml with values mainly between 200 and 500/ml cells, counts lower than 200 represented only 15.2%.
