La metodología que se utilizó fue de Enfoque Cuantitativo, de diseño no-experimental transversal descriptivo. La población fue de 172 estudiantes de décimo año, la muestra de tipo no probabilística intencionada, estuvo compuesta por 119 estudiantes de ambos sexos, de cuatro paralelos del décimo año de educación General Básica. Para dicho objetivo se aplicaron los cuestionarios de Actitudes hacia el Consumo de drogas (AICA), y el Cuestionario de Información sobre drogas Ilegales (INFAR), los cuales permitieron caracterizar las actitudes hacia el consumo de drogas, cuyos resultados fueron: La mayoría de los participantes presentaron suficiente concientización ante los efectos negativos del consumo de drogas, actitud contraria al consumo de drogas, sin embargo, se constató que un proporción considerable de ellos, han demostrado una actitud indiferente; por otra parte, aunque la tendencia de esta población presentó sentimientos de rechazo hacia la droga, existió un porcentaje significativo con actitud de indiferencia ante la misma. En cuanto a la predisposición para actuar, mostraron inclinación hacia el consumo de sustancias psicoactivas por la presión entre pares y por la disponibilidad de sustancias. Se constató que tienen fácil acceso a las drogas en su entornoThe present investigative work has the objective to characterize the attitudes towards the consumption of drugs of the students of the educational unit José Martinez Queirolo. The methodology used was the quantitative perspective, the no probability sample descriptive transverse non-experimental design. The population belonged to 172 students of both sexes of four parallels of the tenth year of the Basic General Education. For the above mentioned target we were applied the attitudes questionnaire towards the consumption of drugs (AICA) and the questionnaire of information about illegal drugs (INFAR, which results were: The majority of participants presented sufficient awareness of the negative effects of drug use, an attitude contrary to drug use, however, it was found that a considerable proportion of them have shown an indifferent attitude; On other part, although the trend of this population has feelings of rejection toward the drug, there is a significant percentage that have an attitude of indifference to it. As for the predisposition to act, they show inclination toward the consumption of psychoactive substances since there is pressure between peers and the availability of substances.
