La metodología empleada fue de naturaleza cuantitativa, adoptando un enfoque correlacional y de diseño transversal. La muestra consistió en 119 estudiantes inscritos en el noveno semestre del ciclo I del período académico 2023-2024, pertenecientes a la Facultad de Psicología de la Universidad de Guayaquil. Para recopilar la información necesaria, se utilizaron dos instrumentos: el Inventario Sisco de estrés académico y la Escala de ansiedad de Hamilton. Los resultados obtenidos señalaron la existencia de niveles significativos de estrés y ansiedad en la población estudiantil evaluada. Además, se evidenció una relación positiva moderada y estadísticamente significativa entre los niveles de estrés académico y ansiedad en los estudiantes de noveno semestre de Psicología en la Universidad de Guayaquil. Estos hallazgos respaldan las tendencias tanto a nivel internacional como nacional en lo que respecta a la dirección y significancia de esta relación. Sin embargo, se observaron algunas variaciones en cuanto a la fuerza de la conexión entre ambas variablesThe objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the levels of academic stress and anxiety in ninth semester Psychology students of the University of Guayaquil. The methodology employed was quantitative in nature, adopting a correlational approach and cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 119 students enrolled in the ninth semester of cycle I of the academic period 2023-2024, belonging to the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Guayaquil. To collect the necessary information, two instruments were used: The Sisco Academic Stress Inventory and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale. The results obtained indicated the existence of significant levels of stress and anxiety in the student population evaluated. In addition, a moderate and statistically significant positive relationship was evidenced between the levels of academic stress and anxiety in ninth semester Psychology students at the University of Guayaquil. These findings support both international and national trends regarding the direction and significance of this relationship.
