Se ha descrito la técnica de pulpotomía primaria con MTA, que se caracteriza por la biocompatibilidad y capacidades de sellado, lo que la hace más adecuada que otros materiales para así predecir el resultado a largo plazo. De igual manera se da a conocer la técnica de recubrimiento pulpar usando MTA, sin duda alguna este material ha superado a los materiales convencionales, especialmente en términos de propiedades de sellado. También se explica el procedimiento de la Apexogenesis, donde después de la pulpotomía de cámara en un diente con raíces hipoplásica, se va a utilizar MTA para que pueda contactar directamente con el muñón pulpar para poder preservar la vitalidad de la pulpa radicular para que esta pueda completar la maduración del ápice y las paredes relativas del canal. Para los dientes necróticos con ápices inmaduros se va a describir la posibilidad de ocupar MTA como una barrera apical, haciendo más rápido y factible el tratamiento de Apexificación, aprovechando su biocompatibilidad, capacidad de sellado y propiedades de fraguado en ambientes húmedos. El MTA ha demostrado ser un material versátil y extremadamente fiable, gracias a la investigación que se ha realizado se puede dar a conocer como el uso del MTA en odontopediatría, en comparación con otros materiales de uso común este garantiza una mejor predicción de los efectos terapéuticos.The objective of this research was to demonstrate and evaluate the clinical application of mineral trioxide (MTA) addition in pediatric dentistry, both in deciduous teeth and in immature permanent teeth. The primary pulpotomy technique with MTA has been described, which is characterized by biocompatibility and sealing capabilities, which makes it more suitable than other materials to predict long-term outcomes. In the same way, the pulp coating technique using MTA is made known, without a doubt this material has surpassed conventional materials, especially in terms of sealing properties. The procedure of Apexogenesis is also explained, where after chamber pulpotomy in a tooth with hypoplastic roots, MTA will be used so that it can contact directly with the pulp stump to preserve the vitality of the root pulp so that it can complete the maturation of the apex and the relative walls of the canal. For necrotic teeth with immature apices, the possibility of occupying MTA as an apical barrier will be described, making Apexification treatment faster and more feasible, taking advantage of its biocompatibility, sealing capacity, and setting properties in humid environments. The MTA has proven to be a versatile and extremely reliable material, thanks to the research that has been carried out it can be known as the use of MTA in pediatric dentistry, compared to other commonly used materials this guarantees a better prediction of therapeutic effects.Universidad de Guayaquil.
