La metodología empleada en este trabajo fue de carácter bibliográfico- descriptivo, de enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo. Obteniendo un universo constituido por un total de 4072 pacientes con diagnóstico de VIH que cumplían los criterios de elegibilidad; sin embargo, al aplicar los criterios de exclusión, quedaron 148 pacientes disponibles para el presente estudio. Los resultados muestran que la prevalencia de enfermedades hepatorrenales es mayor en el género masculino con 112 casos (76%), y 36 del género femenino (24%), cuyo grupo etario predomina de 26 a 40 años (44,6%). Los pacientes en tratamiento con EFV/FTC/TDF, en urea 66(92%) presentaron valores fuera del rango normal (FRN) y solo 6 (8%) con valores normales (VN), en creatinina, 52 (93%) pacientes del sexo masculino presentaron valores FRN y 5 (7%) con VN, los análisis de TGO y TGP muestran un total 17 (94%) y 16 (89%) respectivamente con valores FRN, para el caso de FA un total de 13 (72%) pacientes se encuentra FNR y solo 5 (28%) pacientes se encuentran dentro de los parámetros de fosfatasa alcalina, lo cual demuestra una alta prevalencia de desarrollar enfermedades hepatorrenales en pacientes que se encuentran en tratamiento antirretroviral con el régimen EFV/FTC/TDF.The liver and kidneys are the organs that are most affected by antiretroviral treatment, leading to the development of hepatorenal diseases, they are currently one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality among patients living with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). The methodology used in this work was of a bibliographic-descriptive nature, with a qualitative and quantitative approach.
