La metodología aplicada fue de enfoque mixto, tipo descriptivo, de diseño no experimental. Las técnicas usadas fueron la entrevista y los test de Escala de autoestima de Coopersmith y la Escala de Habilidades Sociales de Goldstein. La población estuvo conformada por diez estudiantes elegidos mediante el muestreo no probabilístico por conveniencia. Los resultados determinaron que los estudiantes tienen una autoestima de nivel medio y habilidades sociales de igual manera fueron catalogadas de nivel medio. Se determina que el nivel de autoestima influye directamente en las relaciones interpersonales de los adolescentesThe present investigation is carried out with the objective of analyzing self-esteem and its influence on interpersonal relationships of tenth-year students of an educational unit in the Naranjal canton. The methodology applied was of a mixed approach, descriptive type, of non-experimental design. The techniques used were the interview and the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Scale tests and the Goldstein Social Skills Scale. The population consisted of ten students chosen by non-probability sampling for convenience. The results determined that the students have a medium level self-esteem and social skills in the same way were classified as medium level.
