Así en el capítulo I, se diagnosticó la situación actual, el financiamiento de las pymes en el Ecuador y criterios para su clasificación, las instituciones del sistema financiero ecuatoriano que otorgan financiamiento a las pymes, la determinación de las tasas de interés, las fuentes de financiamiento de las pymes, el financiamiento informal, el monto de crédito destinado por el sistema financiero a las pymes años 2008-2011, el análisis de las variaciones interanuales, las tasas de interés crédito a pymes período 2008 - 2012, los programas de apoyo a las pymes desde el sector público. En el capítulo II se encontrará el diseño de la investigación, las encuestas a los gerentes y/o encargados del manejo financiero de las pymes, la determinación del universo, la muestra, el resumen de resultados, las sugerencias de expertos en asesoría de proyectos de financiamiento para pymes, las entrevistas a funcionarios de instituciones públicas y privadas que fomentan la actividad de las pymes. En el capítulo III, encontramos el crédito en las instituciones financieras privadas (bancos) e instituciones públicas, requisitos solicitados para la obtención de un crédito para pymes, la guía para la obtención de financiamiento para las pymes del cantón Machala y en el Capítulo IV, se encuentran las conclusiones, recomendaciones, la bibliografía, y los anexos de la tesis.In this thesis, the investigation of SMEs, from the canton of Machala province of Oro, was carried out. Thus, in chapter I, the current situation, the financing of SMEs in Ecuador and criteria for their classification, the institutions of the financial system were diagnosed. Ecuadorian who grant financing to SMEs, the determination of interest rates, the sources of financing of SMEs, informal financing, the amount of credit allocated by the financial system to SMEs 2008-2011, the analysis of variations year-on-year, interest rates, credit to SMEs, period 2008 - 2012, support programs for SMEs from the public sector.
