La Comunicación Audiovisual y su influencia en la identidad de culturas ancestrales están dirigido a los contenidos académicos en la asignatura de música en escuelas que actualmente no brindan la educación en música nacional, tornando aburrido para los estudiantes. El método de investigación aplicado en este proyecto será el cuantitativo para medir los niveles de conocimiento, basada en el principio de los diferentes grupos que forman el total, y a través de la investigación descriptiva para conocer las características relevantes de la población estudiada. Es por ello que con el aporte y elaboración de un material audiovisual (cd) con géneros musicales autóctonos como recurso didáctico para la apreciación de la música ecuatoriana, permitirá en los estudiantes aumentar y fortalecer el interés por conocer la cultura musical del Ecuador.This research project aims to measure the knowledge of 6th and 7th grade students of General Basic Education in the morning and afternoon of the "Humberto García Ortíz" fiscal school in the city of Guayaquil in the period 2016 - 2017, About Ecuadorian musical genres and rhythms. The Audiovisual Communication and its influence on the identity of ancestral cultures are directed to the academic contents in the subject of music in schools that at present do not provide the education in national music, becoming boring for the students. The research method applied in this project will be the quantitative one to measure the levels of knowledge, based on the principle of the different groups that make up the total, and through the descriptive research to know the relevant characteristics of the studied population.
