| spelling | Relación de la enfermedad periodontal y el covid 19Cedeño Cedeño, Kevin GustavoCOVID-19PERIODONTITISENFERMEDADES PERIODONTALESPDFEl COVID 19, es una patología que es consecuencia del virus SARS-CoV-2, la cual es sumamente contagiosa que afecta en diferentes modos al ser humano, causante de una pandemia mundial, y que mantiene al mundo de la ciencia y medicina en constantes estudios para comprender su comportamiento en el cuerpo humano, teniendo muchas interrelaciones entre otras enfermedades del cuerpo, entre ellas la periodontitis, un tipo de enfermedad periodontal, la cual tiene diferentes implicaciones en la cavidad oral y sistémicas, como es respuestas inflamatorias, y migración de microrganismos presentes en boca, que pueden llegar al tracto respiratorio y llegando a consecuencias graves para el paciente, estas pueden agravar la enfermedad que causa el COVID 19, hasta causar mayores consecuencias que impliquen la vida de la persona. El objetivo esta investigación es determinar la relación existente entre la periodontitis y la patología del COVID 19. Para la metodología del siguiente trabajo se centra en la investigación de tipo bibliográfico, analítica-sistemática, histórico-lógico, cualitativo y retrospectivo, en su búsqueda de método deductivo, en la cual se usaron diferentes portales científicos de vanguardia mundial y reconocidos por su calidad de información. Llegando a las conclusiones, la periodontitis como enfermedad periodontal, es un agravante para las personas que tienen adquirido el COVID 19 como enfermedad sistémica, ocurriendo consecuencias como una reacción inflamatoria que conlleve a una tormenta de citoquinas que destruya los órganos del paciente; y hasta una infección cruzada o sobreagregada que desencadenaría en una neumonía, en un shock séptico, ventilación mecánica, o la muerteCOVID 19 is a pathology that is a consequence of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is highly contagious and affects humans in different ways, causing a worldwide pandemic, and that keeps the world of science and medicine in constant studies to understand its behavior in the human body, having many interrelationships between other diseases of the body, including periodontitis, a type of periodontal disease, which has different implications in the oral cavity and systemic, such as inflammatory responses, and migration of microorganisms present in the mouth, which can reach the respiratory tract and reaching serious consequences for the patient, these can aggravate the disease that causes COVID 19, to cause greater consequences that involve the life of the person. The objective of this research is to determine the existing relationship between periodontitis and the pathology of COVID 19. The methodology of the following work focuses on the bibliographic, analytical-systematic, historical-logical, qualitative and retrospective research, in its search for deductive method, in which different scientific portals of world vanguard and recognized for their quality of information were used. Reaching the conclusions that periodontitis as a periodontal disease, is an aggravating factor for people who have acquired COVID 19 as a systemic disease, with consequences such as an inflammatory reaction that leads to a storm of cytokines that destroys the patient's organs; and even a crossed or over-aggregated infection that would trigger pneumonia, septic shock, mechanical ventilation, or death.Universidad de Guayaquil.
