La población observada fueron adultos mayores como cuidadores de personas con capacidad intelectual reducida que asisten a las fundaciones, por lo cual el objetivo es describir las características de los cuidadores de personas con capacidad intelectual reducida que asisten NURTAC y Huerto de los Olivos, el objeto los cuidadores de personas con capacidad intelectual reducida, el eje características de los cuidadores con capacidad intelectual reducida, el aspecto metodológico es cualitativa de modalidad de sistematización. A manera de reflexión se observó que el rol de cuidador aceptado de manera voluntaria por los adultos mayores, no corresponden asumir a esta edad, provocan inestabilidad emocional y crisis relacionales, donde este sujeto se conflictúa y muestra desesperanza en su vida cotidiana por tal razón se concluye que los adultos mayores en esta etapa quedan expuestos a niveles de sensibilidad volviéndolos más vulnerables a crisis no normativas por lo que sufren al pensar que sus días estén por terminar y no encuentren quien asuma su rol de cuidador con su hijo, por lo que se convierten en personas sin aspiraciones futuras creando precariedad en el bienestar subjetivo que provocan un cambio tanto psíquico como físicoThe present systematization of experiences entitled “Characterization of caregivers of people with reduced intellectual capacity attending NURTAC and Huerto de los Olivos” arises from the project “For a Culture of Inclusion” corresponding to the pre professional practice of Community Intervention and Popular Education II, aimed at eighth semester students of the Psychology degree. The population observed were older adults as caregivers of people with reduced intellectual capacity attending foundations, so the objective is to describe the characteristics of caregivers of people with reduced intellectual capacity attending NURTAC and Huerto de los Olivos, the object of caregivers of people with reduced intellectual capacity, the key characteristics of caregivers with reduced intellectual capacity, the methodological aspect is qualitative of systematization modality. As a reflection, it was observed that the role of caregiver voluntarily accepted by older adults, does not correspond to assume at this age, cause emotional instability and relational crises, where this subject is conflicted and shows hopelessness in their daily life.
