El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación determinar la prevalencia de manifestaciones orales en paciente con virus de VIH y la enfermedad de SIDA, que acuden a la consulta externa REDIMA (Red de Dispensarios Médicos de la Arquidiócesis de Guayaquil) durante los meses de diciembre 2019 y enero 2020. El método utilizado es la observación clínica de los pacientes de ambos sexos que asisten a control de enfermedad, sus resultados indicaron que La manifestación bucal más relevante es la enfermedad periodontal, en 28 pacientes que concurrieron a consulta, seguida de la candidiasis en 7 pacientes atendidos de los 46 pacientes en promedio analizados. Conclusión; la salud de la mucosa bucal está condicionada de acuerdo al nivel de linfocitos TCD4, lo que implica una actualización constante del diagnóstico y tratamiento de estos procesos para que contribuyan a mejorar la calidad de vida del paciente.Oral manifestations in patients with immunodeficiency develop according to the degree of affectation of the immune system that they may present. There is a close relationship with the loss of TCD4 lymphocytes, the time of abandonment of the ART and the time of infection of the disease. The objective of this research is to determine the prevalence of oral manifestations in patients with HIV virus and AIDS disease, who attend the REDIMA (Medical Dispensaries Network of the Archdiocese of Guayaquil) outpatient during the months of December 2019 and January 2020. The method used is the clinical observation of patients of both sexes who undergo disease control. Findings suggest that the most relevant oral manifestation is periodontal disease, in 28 patients who assisted during consultation, followed by candidiasis in 7 treated patients from the 46 patients on the average analyzed. In all, the health of the oral mucosa is conditioned according to the level of TCD4 lymphocytes, which implies a constant update of the diagnosis and treatment of these processes so that they contribute to improving the patient's quality of life.Universidad de Guayaquil.
