Thus, field research was carried out in which the conflict situation was defined, and research instruments were applied; these were later meticulously analyzed and thanks to them, the design of a didactic guide directed to the students of 1st year Baccalaureate of the "Teniente Hugo Ortiz" Educational Unit was proposed. Thus, guaranteeing the correct development of the speaking ability in the English language through the use of the Storytelling technique. It was demonstrated, from a scientific aspect, the effectiveness of the Storytelling technique in the improvement of language expression in students since this technique enhances the practice of the language through constant speech and feedback. In addition, it was demonstrated that it enhances vocabulary, fosters creativity, and self-assessment, as well as peer working, which fosters social interaction.El presente trabajo investiga la técnica de la narración de cuentos y su influencia en el desarrollo de la expresión oral de los estudiantes de inglés como lengua extranjera en el nivel A2.2. Es así que se realizó una investigación de campo en la cual se definió la situación conflicto y se aplicaron instrumentos de investigación que posteriormente fueron analizados meticulosamente y gracias a ello, se propuso el diseño de una guía didáctica dirigida a los estudiantes de 1ero de Bachillerato de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal “Teniente Hugo Ortiz”, para garantizar el correcto desarrollo de la habilidad del habla en el idioma inglés mediante el uso de la técnica de la narración de cuentos. Se demostró desde un aspecto científico la efectividad de la técnica de la narración de cuentos en la mejora de la expresión del idioma en los estudiantes, ya que esta técnica potencia la práctica del mismo a través del discurso y la retroalimentación constantes. Además, se demostró que amplía el vocabulario, fomenta la creatividad y la autoevaluación, así como el trabajo entre iguales, lo que favorece la interacción social.Universidad de Guayaquil.
