Señor del Espíritu Santo, 2023-204 school period. The problem exposed during the research is the lack of motivation that students have when performing reading activities during English class. The main purpose was to solve the research questions, methods that are being applied and benefits to increase the students' reading comprehension. This project focuses on increasing the reading skill through a set of didactic activities that allow them to communicate in the second language they are learning. The instruments used were observation, interview and survey to the students and teachers of the Institution. In conclusion, according to the results obtained, it was possible to find a solution to the problem, which was to create a didactic guide with exercises that allow students to increase their reading comprehension and improve the quality of teaching for the students of the institution. El presente estudio analizó las estrategias y técnicas de lectura para mejorar la motivación en los estudiantes con un nivel A1 a través de ejercicios de la asignatura ingles de la U.E Señor del Espíritu Santo, del ciclo escolar 2023-2024. El problema expuesto durante la investigación es la falta de motivación que tienen los estudiantes al momento de realizar actividades de lectura durante la clase de inglés. El propósito principal fue resolver las preguntas sobre la investigación, métodos que se tan aplicando y beneficios para incrementar la compresión lectora de los estudiantes. Este proyecto se enfoca en que incremente la capacidad lectora mediante un conjunto de actividades didácticas que les permita comunicarse en el segundo idioma que están aprendiendo. Los instrumentos utilizados fueron la observación, entrevista y encuesta a los alumnos y profesores de la Institución. En conclusión, según los resultados obtenidos permitieron encontrar una solución para el problema, el cual fue crear una guía didáctica con ejercicios que permitan que los estudiantes puedan incrementar su comprensión lectora y mejorar la calidad de enseñanza para los estudiantes de la Institución.Universidad de Guayaquil.
