El objetivo de este trabajo es presentar una metodología cualitativa basada en la sistematización de experiencias donde se elabora una reconstrucción y reflexión crítica de la práctica realizada, buscando la generación de un nuevo conocimiento que potencialice los procesos de acción, trabajo social y practicas comunitarias; para lo cual se consideraron las características propuestas por Oscar Jara Holliday para la sistematización de experiencias del proceso de recolección de información. La información para la recuperación del proceso vivido proviene del uso de diversas técnicas e instrumentos como los diarios de campo, informes de entrevistas, informes de observación, informes de grupos focales, etc. Y como pregunta eje, a fin de indagar la recepción que estas técnicas tuvieron en los participantes, se planteó: ¿Qué técnica del proceso de recolección de información tuvo mayor acogida en la población que participó en el diagnóstico psicosocial? Se encontró mediante la reflexión crítica, la comparación, y la contrastación teórica, que las entrevistas individuales tuvieron una mejor recepción en la población adultaThis paper approaches on systematizing the experience of the process of gathering information for the psychosocial diagnosis of gender violence of the project Promotion and prevention of the eradication of gender violence in children, adolescents, women and family in the “Guasmo sur” sector of the city of Guayaquil. The objective of this work is to present a qualitative methodology based on the systematization of experiences, where is elaborated a reconstruction and critical reflection of the related practice, looking for the generation of new knowledge that enhances the processes of action, social work and community practices, for the systematization of experiences of the information gathering process. The information for the recovery of the lived process comes from the use of various techniques and instruments such as field diaries, interview reports, observation reports, focus group reports. In addition, as an axis question, in order to investigate the reception that these techniques had in the participants, it was asked: What technique of the process of information gathering had greater reception in the population that participated in the psychosocial diagnosis?
