In the mentioned group of students, a deficiency was evidenced with respect to vocabulary, which is very important for the teaching and learning of the language. During this investigation, the respective research instruments were applied, such as observation, the student survey, and an interview with an English teacher at the school. When analyzing the results of the research, it was observed that students need activities that help them to acquire more vocabulary, so it was proposed to create a blog of fables with their respective vocabulary and interactive activities related to the new words learned from those short stories it is a good way because it will generate significant learning and help them to increase their vocabulary in class.El objetivo principal de este proyecto es determinar la influencia de las fábulas como recurso didáctico para incrementar el vocabulario en los estudiantes de 8vo año de EGB de la Escuela República de el Salvador. En el mencionado grupo de estudiantes se evidenció una deficiencia con respecto al vocabulario el cual es muy importante para la enseñanza y aprendizaje del idioma. Durante esta investigación se aplicaron los respectivos instrumentos de investigación como la observación, la encuesta a los alumnos y una entrevista a un docente de inglés de la escuela. Al analizar los resultados de la investigación se pudo observar que los estudiantes necesitan actividades que les ayuden adquirir más vocabulario por lo que la propuesta de crear un blog de fábulas con su respectivo vocabulario y actividades interactivas relacionas a las nuevas palabras aprendidas acerca de las historias cortas es una buena forma porque generará en ellos un aprendizaje significativo y ayudará a que los estudiantes incrementen su vocabulario en clases.Universidad de Guayaquil.
