La información se obtuvo de la metodología de investigación cualitativa y descriptiva por medio de herramientas de gestión de procesos, entrevistas y revisión documental. El diagnóstico situacional evidenció la falta de registros técnicos para las funciones y procesos que se llevan a cabo, la opción hallada y viable del presente tiene un costo de implementación de $8.964,00 y costos evitados percibidos como beneficios de $13.668,00 al cabo de un año, su coeficiente de 1,53 unidades denota una propuesta rentable. Con la debida atención del caso y el tiempo necesario, este diseño de manuales mejorará el control, una óptima gestión de los procesos y orden documental en la institución.This paper proposes the design of function manuals for the Inés Chambers Foster House, since maintaining an improvement in the quality of its services is limited by lack of efficiency in carrying out its functions and tasks empirically. The information was obtained from the qualitative and descriptive research methodology through process management tools, interviews and documentary review. The situational diagnosis showed the lack of technical records for the functions and processes that are carried out, the found and viable option of the present has an implementation cost of $8.964,00 and avoided costs perceived as benefits of $13.668,00 after one year, its coefficient of 1.53 units denotes a cost-effective proposal. With due attention to the case and the necessary time, this design of manuals will improve control, optimal management of processes and documentary order in the institution.Universidad de Guayaquil.
