El protocolo de recubrimiento pulpar directo aún no es considerado como una opción idónea cuando se presenta una exposición pulpar esto debido a que los profesionales consideran que el uso de agentes medicamentosos en este proceso sigue siendo tema de discusión, el objetivo presentado es conocer a detalle el protoco clínico actual de recubrimiento pulpar directo, objetivo que se consigue mediante la recolección de información bibliográfica, así como de estudios, análisis y ensayos clínicos situados en fuentes consideradas fidedígnas como: PubMed, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Scielo, Libros, Revistas, que presenten información relacionada al protocolo de recubrimiento pulpar directo y al material que se utiliza actualmente en este proceso describiendo sus características, propiedades y mecanismo de acción, llegando a revisar fuentes en las que se compara al agregado de trióxido mineral con los materiales usados anteriormente en el protocolo de recubrimiento pulpar directo, luego de revisada la información y analizada detalladamente se concluye que el protocolo actual usa al agregado de trióxido mineral como material por sus propiedades y facultades para poder conseguir un proceso de sellado y reparación idóneo para el órgano pulpar derivando esto en un mayor índice de éxito posible en este proceso.In the oral environment, each dental organ fulfills different functions that are fundamental, for this reason the preservation of the vitality of the dental pulp, which is directly related to the integrity of the dental pieces, is an essential issue since this will make the system mouth is in perfect harmony. The direct pulp capping protocol is not yet considered an ideal option when pulp exposure occurs, since professionals consider that the use of drug agents in this process is still a matter of discussion. The objective presented is to know in detail the current clinical protocol for direct pulp capping, an objective that is achieved by collecting bibliographic information, as well as studies, analyzes and clinical trials located in sources considered reliable such as: PubMed, Elsevier, Google Scholar, Scielo, Books, Magazines, that present information related to the direct pulp capping protocol and the material currently used in this process, describing its characteristics, properties and mechanism of action, going so far as to review sources in which the mineral trioxide aggregate is compared with the materials previously used in the protocol of direct pulp capping, after checking Based on the information and analyzed in detail, it is concluded that the current protocol uses the aggregate of mineral trioxide as a material due to its properties and faculties to be able to achieve an ideal sealing and repair process for the pulpal organ, resulting in a higher possible success rate in this processUniversidad de Guayaquil.
