La formulación del problema se centra en identificar el tratamiento y técnica quirúrgica para la extirpación del torus palatino en pacientes atendidos en la clínica mencionada. Se plantean preguntas de investigación relacionadas con el tratamiento adecuado, la técnica quirúrgica, los tipos de incisiones y las técnicas de anestesia necesarias. desarrollándose por medio del empleo de métodos de investigación como analítico – sintético e inductivo – deductivo, de esta manera se recolecto la información de la investigación con la técnica de la observación clínica en donde se desarrolló un caso clínico de torus palatino de gran tamaños, y ulcerado, provocando muchas molestias al paciente, por lo que se decide realizar la excéresis del mismo y obtener la salud bucal que el paciente requiere, devolviendo así la anatomía del paladar y sobre todo la fonación y deglución correcta del paciente logrando comprobando la eficacia del abordaje quirúrgico y tratamiento. La conclusión fue que el abordaje quirúrgico del torus palatino, aunque considerado un procedimiento menor, requiere precisión y cuidado tanto en la fase preoperatoria como postoperatoria. Un enfoque meticuloso y una buena comunicación con el paciente son claves para asegurar un resultado exitoso y minimizar las complicaciones.Torus palatine is a benign bony exostosis that develops in the hard palate, this bony growth, although not malignant, can cause complications in phonation, swallowing, and use of dental prosthesis. The formulation of the problem is focused on identifying the treatment and surgical technique for the removal of the palatal torus in patients treated in the clinic mentioned above. Research questions related to adequate treatment, the surgical technique, the types of incisions, and the necessary anesthesia techniques are posed. The research was developed through the use of research methods such as analytical-synthetic and inductive - deductive, in this way the research information was collected with the technique of clinical observation where a clinical case of large and ulcerated palatal torus was developed, causing much discomfort to the patient, so it was decided to perform the exeresis of the same and obtain the oral health that the patient requires, thus returning the anatomy of the palate and especially the correct phonation and swallowing of the patient achieving proving the effectiveness of the surgical approach and treatment. The conclusion was that the surgical approach to the palatal torus, although considered a minor procedure, requires precision and care both preoperatively and postoperatively. A meticulous approach and good communication with the patient are key to ensuring a successful outcome and minimizing complications.Universidad de Guayaquil.
