Reserva Ecológica Manglares Churute, Provincia del Guayas, Ecuador, tiene por objetivo analizar la biología floral de esa especie, describiendo sus características florales, secuencia del capullo hasta la antesis, estableciendo las características morfológicas y tamaño de estos, además de caracterizar su biología floral. Para tal efecto, se realizaron dos parcelas correspondientes a 0,25 ha., tanto en el sector “La Flora” como isla Churrutillo y las muestras colectadas analizadas en el laboratorio, indicaron que Rhizophora mangle L, en prefloración presento coloración verdosa, las anteras dentro del capullo alcanzaron su madurez y una vez el capullo floral esta deshicente, los sépalos se separaron totalmente, sus pétalos pubescentes se encontraron adheridos a la flor y una vez abierta la flor, los pétalos caen junto con los estambres. Las flores de Rhizophora mangle en su estructura reproductiva presento, hercogamia de tipo recíproca brevistilada.The study of the Floral Biology of the red mangrove (Rhizophora mangle L.) Manglares Churute Ecological Reserve, Guayas Province, Ecuador, aims to analyze the floral biology of this species, describing its floral characteristics, cocoon sequence to anthesis, establishing the morphological characteristics and size of these, in addition to characterizing their floral biology. For this purpose, two plots corresponding to 0.25 ha. were made, both in the "La Flora" sector and Churrutillo Island and the collected samples analyzed in the laboratory, indicated that Rhizophora mangle L, in pre-flowering presented greenish coloration, the anthers Inside the cocoon they reached their maturity and once the floral cocoon is disintegrated, the sepals separated completely, their pubescent petals were found attached to the flower and once the flower opened, the petals fell along with the stamens.
