A mixed method research approach was adopted, combining quantitative and qualitative approaches. The research included literature review, field research and descriptive study to gain a comprehensive understanding of the topic. Thus, the main findings of the research revealed that a significant percentage of students lacked motivation to learn English, highlighting the importance of addressing motivation as an essential factor in the learning process. Based on the findings, the creation of a teaching guide is proposed to serve as support for teachers to improve the speaking skills in the English language through motivational ludic activities. El presente proyecto de investigación tuvo como propósito principal el evaluar la eficacia de diversas estrategias motivacionales en el desarrollo de habilidades de habla en estudiantes de octavo grado que estaban aprendiendo inglés en el nivel A1. En donde, se empleó una metodología de investigación mixta que combinó enfoques cuantitativos y cualitativos. La investigación incluyó revisión bibliográfica, investigación de campo y estudio descriptivo para obtener una comprensión integral del tema. Es así que, los principales hallazgos de la investigación revelaron que un porcentaje significativo de estudiantes carecía de motivación para aprender inglés, lo que enfatizó la importancia de abordar la motivación como un factor esencial en el proceso de aprendizaje. En base a hallazgos se propone la creación de una guía didáctica que sirva como apoyo a los docentes para mejorar el desarrollo del habla en el idioma inglés por medio de actividades lúdicas motivacionales.Universidad de Guayaquil.
