Mediante un enfoque descriptivo-explicativo, se identificaron problemas como incumplimiento normativo y riesgos mecánicos y ergonómicos. Se propone un Sistema de Gestión y la contratación de un Técnico en Seguridad y Salud Ocupacional. La necesidad de capacitar a los trabajadores y la importancia de una cultura de seguridad se destacan. El análisis beneficio/costo se utilizó para evaluar la viabilidad del proyecto. Los beneficios potenciales y los costos fueron identificados y cuantificados. La relación B/C se determinó como 1.29, lo que indica que los beneficios superan los costos asociados, confirmando la viabilidad del proyecto. Este enfoque busca no solo garantizar la integridad de los empleados, sino también el éxito sostenible de VIMETAL S.A., respaldado por un análisis sólido de beneficio/costo.The objective of this thesis is to design an occupational health and safety management system at VIMETAL S.A. Through a descriptive-explanatory approach, issues like regulatory non-compliance and mechanical and ergonomic risks were identified. A Management System and the hiring of an Occupational Health and Safety Technician are proposed. The necessity of training workers and the significance of a safety culture are emphasized. A cost-benefit analysis was employed to assess the project's feasibility. Potential benefits and costs were identified and quantified. The B/C ratio was determined as 1.29, signifying that benefits outweigh associated costs, confirming the project's viability. This approach aims not only to ensure the employees' well-being but also the sustainable success of VIMETAL S.A., backed by a robust cost-benefit analysis.Universidad de Guayaquil.
