El objetivo principal es evaluar el impacto del Istmocele en la salud reproductiva y la calidad de vida sexual de las mujeres afectadas. Se utilizó una metodología cuantitativa y descriptiva, con un diseño transversal, analizando datos de mujeres diagnosticadas con Istmocele en el Hospital Matilde Hidalgo de Procel durante el año 2023. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de historias clínicas electrónicas, asegurando la precisión y exhaustividad de la información. Los hallazgos indican que el 83.87% de las pacientes eran mestizas, el edema y la cefalea son los síntomas más comunes. Se observó una alta prevalencia dedolor pélvico crónico (30.40%) y dismenorrea (37.87%). La disfunción sexual fue significativa, con Dispareunia, disminución de la libido y anorgasmia presentes en un 26.13% de las pacientes. El diagnóstico principal se realizó mediante Ecografía Transvaginal (71.73%). El Istmocele tiene un impacto considerable en la vida sexual y reproductiva de las mujeres, destacando la necesidad de estrategias diagnósticas y terapéuticas efectivas. Este estudio subraya la importancia de una atención integral y personalizada para mejorar los resultados de salud de las pacientes afectadas y reducir las complicaciones asociadas con el Istmocele.The study "Istmocele: Negative Impact on Women's Sexual and Reproductive Life" focuses on evaluating the consequences of Istmocele, a common post-surgical complication in women who have had cesarean sections. The main objective is to assess the impact of Istmocele on the reproductive health and sexual quality of life of affected women. A quantitative and descriptive methodology was used, with a cross-sectional design, analyzing data from women diagnosed with Istmocele at the Matilde Hidalgo de Procel Hospital during 2023. Data collection was carried out through electronic medical records, ensuring the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the information. The findings indicate that 83.87% of the patients were mestizo, with edema and headache being the most common symptoms. There was a high prevalence of chronic pelvic pain (30.40%) and dysmenorrhea (37.87%). Sexual dysfunction was significant, with dyspareunia, decreased libido, and anorgasmia present in 26.13% of patients. The main diagnosis was made by transvaginal ultrasound (71.73%). Istmocele has a considerable impact on women's sexual and reproductive life, highlighting the need for effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
