Since it is an educational project on the teaching of English as a foreign language, the research has been based on reading material with authors who were a source of scientific information on how to develop the listening skill and the different strategies and methodologies to use in class. The purpose of this research is to encourage the practice of listening skill inside and outside of the classroom using intensive and extensive methods so that students eventually develop their listening skill to understand English in real situations, the song lyrics activities are easy to use , as they use vocabulary and structures that the student can use to understand while listening and communicating in English. In this research were used theoretical and empirical methods to obtain an investigative basis, the quantitative method was used to quantify the statistics, the results were used for the graphs and then a text analysis, the instruments used were an interview to the English teacher and survey for the students, with all of this information the researchers decide to plan the proposal and design a pamphlet with activities based on song lyrics activities with which students will easily identify and create a fun learning environment in the classroom.El objetivo principal de esta investigación es mejorar la habilidad de escucha en el primero bachillerato, paralelo A de la Escuela Secundaria pública Francisco Huerta Rendón. Dado que se trata de un proyecto educativo sobre la enseñanza del inglés como lengua extranjera, la investigación ha sido basada en material de lectura con autores que fueron una fuente de información científica sobre cómo desarrollar la habilidad de escuchar y las diferentes estrategias y metodologías para usar en clase. El propósito de esta investigación es fomentar la práctica de la habilidad de escuchar dentro y fuera del aula utilizando métodos intensivos y extensos para que los estudiantes eventualmente desarrollen su habilidad de escuchar para comprender el inglés en situaciones reales, por eso la importancia de las actividades con letras de canciones, ya que en ellas se usa vocabulario y estructuras que el estudiante podrá usar para entender al escuchar y comunicarse en inglés. En esta investigación se utilizaron métodos teóricos y empíricos para obtener una base investigativa, el método cuantitativo fue usado para cuantificar las estadísticas, los resultados se utilizaron para los gráficos y luego un análisis de texto , los instrumentos usados fueron una entrevista a la profesora de Inglés y la encuesta para los estudiantes, con toda esta información los investigadores deciden planificar la propuesta y diseñar actividades basadas en actividades de letras de canciones con las cuales los estudiantes se identificaran fácilmente y creará un armonioso ambiente de aprendizaje dentro del salón de claseUniversidad de Guayaquil.
