En el presente trabajo se analiza la influencia del subempleo en los ingresos de los habitantes de la ciudad de Guayaquil. Se introducirá a la problemática del subempleo en la ciudad de Guayaquil, los objetivos que se esperan lograr con el presente trabajo y la hipótesis en la que se basa este trabajo. Las diferentes teorías existentes sobre el empleo desempleo y subempleo se tratara en el capítulo I. En el capítulo II se establece la evolución del subempleo y su incidencia en los ingresos de la ciudadanía guayaquileña en el periodo 2007-2008 y las principales políticas laborales que se implementaron en ese periodo. En el capítulo III conoceremos la participación del sector informal en el fenómeno del subempleo, la evolución, características e incidencia del subempleo en los ingresos de la los habitantes de Guayaquil en el periodo 2009-2010. Finalmente en el capítulo VI encontraran las conclusiones obtenidas de este trabajo y las recomendaciones que se estiman necesarias para disminuir los efectos de este fenómeno.Underemployment is an important issue in the economy of the countries. In this paper, the influence of underemployment on the income of the inhabitants of the city of Guayaquil is analyzed. It will be introduced to the problem of underemployment in the city of Guayaquil, the objectives that are expected to be achieved with this work and the hypothesis on which this work is based. The different existing theories about employment, unemployment and underemployment will be discussed in chapter I. Chapter II establishes the evolution of underemployment and its incidence in the income of Guayaquil citizens in the period 2007-2008 and the main labor policies that are implemented. implemented in that period.
