Este estudio se realizó con el objetivo de determinar los factores de riesgos de Diabetes Mellitus tipo 2 mediante la aplicación del test de Findrisk en pacientes del centro de salud de Bienestar Universitario. El diseño de la investigación utilizado tiene un enfoque mixto, de tipo prospectivo de corte transversal y nivel descriptivo, en los meses de mayo y junio, con una población de 2255 pacientes y una muestra de 329 pacientes, que se obtuvo mediante la fórmula de muestreo finito, no probabilístico por conveniencia. Se caracterizó socio demográficamente a la población observando que un 96% tienen una edad menor a los 45 años, se evaluaron las asociaciones entre las variables y el test de Findrisk y se demostró su relación de dependencia y se determinó de que el 45,29% tiene riesgo bajo de sufrir DM 2 en 10 años, el 33,74% tiene un riesgo ligeramente elevado, el 12,16% riesgo moderado, el 8,21 % riesgo alto y que un 0,61% tiene riesgo muy alto.Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that occurs when the pancreas does not secrete enough insulin or when the body does not effectively use the insulin it produces. Detecting individuals at risk of developing type 2 diabetes (DM2) is crucial for preventing the disease's onset. The Findrisk test is a simple and practical tool for assessing the risk of developing DM2 over the next 10 years. This study was conducted to determine the risk factors for type 2 diabetes using the Findrisk test in patients at the University Wellness Health Center. The research design used has a mixed approach, prospective, cross-sectional, and descriptive, carried out in May and June, with a population of 2,255 patients and a sample of 329 patients, obtained through the finite sampling formula, non- probabilistic by convenience. The socio-demographic characteristics of the population showed that 96% were under 45 years of age, the associations between the variables and the Findrisk test were evaluated, and their dependency relationship was demonstrated and It was determined that 45.29% have a low risk of developing DM2 in 10 years, 33.74% have a slightly elevated risk, 12.16% have a moderate risk, 8.21% have a high risk, and 0.61% have a very high risk.Universidad de Guayaquil.
