The study employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative methodologies. The research design is exploratory-descriptive, using surveys with students and an interview with the English teacher as data collection techniques. Student surveys were conducted to evaluate their interest in learning English through podcasts and to assess their listening abilities. The research data analysis revealed that podcasts positively influence students' listening skills. Based on these findings, we created a guide with strategies for improving English language teaching through podcasts. This research provides valuable insights into the benefits of integrating podcasts to enhance listening skills in English language learning at the B1 level.En esta tesis exploramos el uso de podcasts como una herramienta educativa para mejorar la habilidad de escucha en estudiantes de nivel B1 de "Unidad Educativa Salesiana Cristóbal Colon. El estudio investiga los beneficios de los podcasts y su efectividad en un grupo de estudiantes de tercero de bachillerato. A través de encuestas y pruebas de escucha, se recopilan datos para evaluar el impacto de los podcasts en las habilidades de escucha de los estudiantes. Los resultados revelan que los podcasts mejoran la comprensión auditiva de los studiantes, aumentando su motivación y compromiso y mejorando la adquisición de vocabulario. En resumen, esta tesis sostiene que los podcasts son una estrategia efectiva para desarrollar habilidades de escucha en el aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera, proporcionando a los estudiantes una experiencia auténtica y enriquecedora.Universidad de Guayaquil.
