In order to find what was causing problems in this competence, the authors consulted several books and articles related to the written production and the possible solutions that can be applied to develop the written production. They also used several research methods among which are the theoretical methods, such as analysissynthesis, inductive-deductive, logical-historical and systemic-structural-functional; statistical methods such as Chi square and empirical techniques such as observations, interviews and surveys. These empirical techniques were applied in the population studied. Based on the results obtained through the application of all these methods, it was concluded that students have problems generating ideas before producing a written text due to the insufficient use of tools such as graphic organizers. For this reason, its authors thought that through the design of a booklet with exercises focused on the use of graphic organizers students will be able to generate ideas and develop their written productionA través del presente trabajo de investigación se pudo analizar uno de los problemas encontrados en la producción escrita de los estudiantes de segundo año de bachillerato sección “B”, especialización Contabilidad, jornada matutina, de la Unidad Educativa Fiscal Veintiocho de Mayo. Para poder encontrar lo que estaba generando problema en esta competencia sus autores consultaron varios libros y artículos referentes a la producción escrita y a las posibles soluciones que se pueden aplicar para poder desarrollar la producción escrita. También utilizaron varios métodos de investigación entre los cuáles están los métodos teóricos, tales como análisissíntesis, inductivo-deductivo, lógico-histórico y sistémico-estructural-funcional; métodos estadísticos como el Chi cuadrado y además se usaron técnicas empíricas como observaciones, entrevistas y encuestas. Estas técnicas empíricas fueron aplicadas y con base en los resultados obtenidos a través de todos estos métodos se concluyó que los estudiantes tienen problemas al generar ideas antes de producir un texto escrito debido al poco uso de herramientas como lo son los organizadores gráficos. Por este motivo sus autores pensaron que a través del diseño de un folleto con ejercicios enfocados en el uso de organizadores gráficos los estudiantes podrán generar ideas y desarrollar su producción escritaUniversidad de Guayaquil.
